Job Description

Azure Files team in Azure Storage is looking for talented Service Engineer's who can drive service operations and service management of Azure File Sync and Azure Files services. Azure File Sync is a relatively new service, a part of the Azure Storage 'Hybrid Cloud' offerings, which when combined with Azure Files (a Azure Foundation Service), can transform the on-premise servers capabilities with extension to Azure, and provide world-class reliability, performance, and security. The services form a key part of Azure Storage offerings to meet customers' challenges in a cloud-first, mobile-first world

Basic qualifications:

* BA/BS or higher degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
* 4+ years of scripting/coding experience in C#, PowerShell, SQL, Web Services is required

Preferred qualifications:

* Demonstrable Knowledge of Azure services
* Experience and knowledge working with security and patching technologies is plus
* Good problem solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
* Successful track record of driving projects through to completion
* Experience working on large scale Datacenter management and deployment is plus
* Cloud Service Operations and Compliance experience desired

In this role, you will be in charge of delivering Service Operations and operational excellence to run the Live-Site - the platform that builds, manages, deploys, monitors and delivers the Service to the customers. Responsibilities include the Service Operations, compliance, privacy, build infrastructure, the Live-Site (which includes investigation and design of next generation Cloud solutions), deployment, secret management, monitoring and Customer Support.

Enterprise customer and consumers are adopting the Azure services, and delivering on the online services requires building, maintaining, and securing cloud capacity at scale worldwide while hosting customer data in the cloud mandates meeting several security compliance standards requirements

You will also be a part of the team running the Live-Site for the service, and thereby have an opportunity to research and propose solutions, evaluate design options, make solid recommendations and decisions, implement efficient engineering practices, and work cross-group with our partners across Azure . You will be part of a larger development team owning a broad range of data access and storage management technologies.
