ManTech is seeking a talented and creative Senior Systems Engineer for its El Segundo office. The successful candidate will provide overall general support to a variety of tasks in support of systems engineering processes for the US Air Force National Security Space Launch (NSSL) program managed by the Space and Missiles Systems Center, Launch Systems Enterprise Directorate (SMC/LE)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

* General system engineering tasks for major launch systems, including systems architecture, requirements, interfaces, systems engineering processes.
* Creation of major program documents, such as Systems Engineering Plans.
* Develop systems requirements, SysML modeling, system interface specifications and establishing program baseline.
* Application of analytical methods to address complex problems.
* Application of INCOSE-DoD architectural principles to generate DoDAF/UPDM/UAF architectural diagrams.
* Analysis, design, verification and validation using MBE/MBSE tools and capabilities, for NSSL missions flown by the SMC Launch Enterprise.
* Development of an integrated process for Use Case development for the launch enterprise.
* System modeling with Cameo System Modeler tool, SysML language, and a hybrid methodology of OOSEM-functional. Minimum proficiency level is entry level certification from Object Management Group (OMG) for the Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP); including modeling SysML behavioral diagrams with Cameo Simulation Toolkit.
* Integrating MATLAB models with Cameo Data Hub.
* Use of Data Analysis systems/languages (MATLAB, Python) to develop, or interact with, discipline-specific analytical models (e.g., electrical, physical, cost).
* Use of web services and service level agreements (SLAs) for coordinating geographically-dispersed Model-Based Environments.
* Collaboration with other development, architecture, and product development teams using MBE tools such as Cameo System Modeler and Phoenix Integration ModelCenter.
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
* Supports systems engineering processes (e.g. Systems Engineering, configuration management, data management); application/use of JIRA software and Confluence.
* May mentor and train others on Systems Engineering processes.
* Involved with program integration such as organizing integrated product team meetings, systems reviews, and interagency discussions and documentation.
* Perform advanced system engineering tasks for major launch systems, including systems architecture development, requirements, interfaces, systems engineering processes.
* Provide input into Launch Systems and Launch Ranges of the Future - develop concepts and requirements documents.
* Enhance requirements communication between teams engaged in the engineering and acquisition functions. Develop and implement new processes as appropriate.
* Create and maintain major program documents, such as Systems Engineering Plans and Systems Interface Specifications.
* Involved with program integration such as organizing integrated product team meetings, systems reviews, and interagency discussions and documentation creation.

Qualifications:

* Minimum, a BS degree + 16 years of experience, from accredited college or university; an engineering degree strongly desired, with experience focused in systems engineering, or an MS degree + 14 years MBSE/SysML or Aerospace systems or a PhD + 12 years of qualified experience. Advanced degree desired.
* Proficient in Systems Engineering processes and methods as applied to systems at AF Space and Missile Systems Center Launch Vehicle programs, Launch Ground Systems design and methods, architecture and configuration, including interfaces between launch, ground and range systems.
* Combination of professional registration, OCSMP certification desired, and experience within the related specialty area desirable. Directly related work experience and years of experience may be substituted for degree.
* Requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making. Applicant will also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with others in a team setting, and proficiency with MS Office products to include Project, Power Point and collaborative software products such as MS SharePoint. Occasional travel in the CONUS may be required.
* Ability to understand data deliverables and reports and provide assessments and risk recommendations.

Preferred Skills:

* Ability to understand data deliverables and reports and provide assessments and risk recommendations.
* Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, and successful collaboration with multiple departments, organizations and personnel, plus excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Demonstrated competency in Microsoft tools including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Information Technology (IT) systems and SharePoint-type databases.
* At least 10 years' experience with USAF Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) systems engineering requirements and processes preferred.

Clearance: Secret. US Citizen is required.
