Performs as the highest-level technical expert, providing both internal and external consulting services. Works independently on advanced systems/software analysis projects. Develops and may conduct training programs. Remains current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments/applications. Recommends future direction or projects to management. Provides expertise and direction in the development or modification of complex software programs to enhance an operating system. Requires Bachelors degree (in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field) or equivalent, and ten to twelve years of related experience.ManTech is actively seeking talented professionals eager to secure the future supporting mission critical programs and solving some of the toughest problems critical to our great Nation's security. Job Description - Duties include but not limited to:· Serve as the principal scientific authority for research and development involving DC I, Cyberspaces core technical competencies.· Define DC I, Cyberspace Division technical vision and strategy and establishes direction and focus while monitoring and analyzing technological trends to improve and standardize security, programs, products and performance.· Serve as the technical expert for the DC I, Cyberspace Division providing strategic direction and advice on mission and technical issues related to information systems technology. · Lead the continuous assessment of the current/emerging information management and technology trends in cloud computing, shared services, software intensive systems, global net-centric solutions, open enterprise architecture and methodologies. · Oversee technology activities including but not limited to: team formulations, conducting technical reviews and recommending solutions to determine the maturity and risk of a program critical technologies and soundness of technical approach. · Oversee the management of all phases of the system development life cycle for systems and software engineering projects. · Lead technical reviews to identify and recommend innovative, leading edge technologies, techniques, methodologies, products, and services that may be use to DC I, Cyberspace Division.· Initiate, plan, coordinate, evaluates and conduct research and development that increases the MC capabilities relative to Cyberspace key technology areas. · Support the DC I and Cyberspace Division Head in technical reviews and assessment of programs and new study areas, and interacts with other MC and government agencies in matters relating to Cyberspace key technology areas. · Enhance MC research and development infrastructure, link research and development initiatives to DC I, Cyberspace strategic plan and investment strategy, and advises DC I senior leadership on the health of the technology workforce· Experience in broad multidisciplinary areas of relevant technologies, including a high order of awareness of national research and development programs relating to MC requirements.· Expert level technical knowledge reviewing and designing technology program(s), as well as orienting research efforts to maximize technology advances and mission relevance.
