Job Description

Azure is the growth engine for Microsoft and Compute is the foundation of Azure. This position is in the Compute Platform Team. We build the core cloud objects and APIs that enable the full spectrum of applications running on Cloud from the largest enterprises to individual entrepreneurs. Our objects include Virtual Machines, Virtual Machine Scale Sets, Managed Disks, Images, Shared Gallery and others. The services run at a very large scale in all regions of the world. Our customers rely on the Compute Platform to run their workloads and businesses.

* 6+ years of experience in building multiple software services and evolving
* BA/BS degree in computer science, related discipline



Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience leading teams building services, designing and shipping distributed services
* Leadership collaboration, problem solving and analytical skills
* Demonstrated experience in the areas of security, scale and reliability

In this role, you will be leading one or more areas in Azure Compute Platform team. You will own the architecture, design, development and devops of multiple micro-services. The challenge will be to be customer focused, agile and at the same time build for security, scale and performance. You will collaboarte closely with PM and Support disciplines.
