What is this role?

If you are interested in working in a global environment, managing large projects for a Fortune 500 and have experience with either the IT industries Language Technologies, Digital experience or Structured Content consider the following.

Within our SDL NASA Professional Services department we are looking for a Senior Project Manager who is hardworking, resourceful, fun, friendly and passionate about what they do.

The Senior Project Manager will ensure execution and delivery of project objectives in compliance with the client methodology, through management of all project measurements: Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, and Performance.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager who demonstrates the following skills and experience:

Job descriptions

Management of Client facing technical and non-technical projects (including initiating, planning, implementation, closing, managing resources, cost/schedule control, reporting).

Manage / Setup global resource and communication models across client and internal organization.

Identify and implement change management in response to business drivers.

Manage the project success, Risk and mitigation plans. Escalate to the ad hoc project governance instance if necessary.

Communicate progress against objectives of the project to all stakeholders.

Coach and mentor other project managers and assist them in solving problems related to project management

Manage relationships and expectations with the client and internal executive stakeholders.

Manage project budget, control expenditures, forecasts, and report on cost variances against project budget.

Coordinate with internal Engineering, Customer success directors, and Operations teams as required to deliver project needs.

Skills and Qualifications

6+ years of experience with project management.

3+ years of experience working with mid- to senior-level clients to understand the motivation, timeframe and acceptable level of effort for tasks.

2+ years of experience with either Digital Experience projects or Structure content systems

Possess exceptional leadership skills.

Able to effectively manage relationships, both internally and externally.

Display a dependable, strong work ethic.

Able to work in a fast-paced, professional services environment.

Bachelor's degree (course of study in a Scientific or Engineering field).

Desired but not required: PMP certification, Certificated Scrum Master, or Prince II certification.

Desired but not required: experience with Microsoft projects and Atlassian Jira / Tempo systems.
