Job Description

The Azure Data team focused on open source databases is looking for Senior Program Manager to accelerate usage and adoption through the combination of business model and product innovations. Azure database services for MySQL, PostgreSQL and MariaDB are fully managed database services that provides developers the choice to use their favorite open source database engine on Azure. These database services provide built-in high availability, industry leading security features and compliance, and ability to elastically scale compute and storage independently within seconds.

The ideal candidate will bring:

* Excellent collaboration skills and a proven track record in managing complex dependencies
* Solid problem-solving skills dealing with ambiguity
* Customer empathy and experience in shipping customer facing solutions
* Background or knowledge in distributed systems, database systems and storage is a strong plus
* Expertise on data analytics or cloud computing is also desirable

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

* 3 years of software development and/or program management experience shipping services
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and/or MBA
* Experience/deep technical knowledge of distributed systems, database systems such as MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB and open-source software NoSQL and Big Data systems, etc. is a strong plus.
