Responsibilities:

* Design the foundation of our platform to enable creation of compelling front-end web experiences.
* Self starter - gather loosely defined requirements/concepts and expand them into complete solutions.
* DevOps, you code it, you own it! Plan, code, build, test, release, deploy, operate, monitor.
* Review and provide feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs.
* Commitment to Test Driven Development and Unified Engineering culture.
* Work within a group that requires effective communication and quality contributions across multiple teams.

Requirements:

* BS in Computer Science (or related field) and at least 5 years of experience, alternatively MS degree and 3 years of experience.
* Strong knowledge and understanding of Object-oriented principles and software design patterns.
* Proven experience with JavaScript, mobile development experience and proficient with modern JS frameworks.
* Must be able to break-down complex problems into a set of generalizable sub-problems.
* Recognize recurring patterns and develop clean abstractions to encapsulate and manage complexity.
* Understanding of common engineering methodologies (Agile vs. Waterfall).
* Knowledge of DevOps principles.
* Demonstrated experience/interest with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, NodeJS, React).
* Extensive experience with modular, component-based UI development.
* Experience with Computer Graphics, Image Processing and Multi-Media for Web.
* Familiarity with the Internet Protocol stack (i.e. HTTP, DNS, TCP, UDP, IP).
* Familiarity with version control systems (particularly Git).
* Familiarity with software modeling and design patterns.
* Familiarity with Java, cloud computing and micro-services.
* Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; can effectively articulate a problem and solution to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Detail oriented, and able to implement high performing pixel-perfect UI's from design specifications.
* Interest in other creative endeavors (art, music, photography) is preferred.
