Job Description: Implementation Project Manager
What We Do:
Fieldglass, an SAP company, provides a cloud-based Vendor Management System (VMS) to manage contingent workforce and services procurement programs. More than 300 customers leverage Fieldglass to gain visibility into their external workforces, including contingent labor, services managed through Statements of Work and independent contractors while optimizing spend, quality, compliance and efficiency.
What Sets Us Apart:
Fieldglass was "born cloud". As one of the forerunners of today's highly successful cloud delivery model, Fieldglass has been a Software-as-a-Service application since its start. At a time when many buyers were using behind-the-firewall ERP applications to manage their non-employee workforce, this VMS industry first is now the industry standard.
Some of our attributes include:
* We are the VMS market leader in global spend and in 2017 were named the top company in our industry by Forrester Research.
* Multilingual help desk support is available around the clock 365 days a year - in addition to a dedicated Account Services team.
* Not only an industry leader but a thought leader - Fieldglass keeps customers up to date with VMS industry knowledge on our 'From the Field' blog and social media accounts.
* We work with the world's leading companies, including AIG, Verizon, GlaxoSmithKline, Johnson & Johnson, CVS/Caremark, United Airlines, Panasonic, Rio Tinto, Monsanto, and many, many more.
* We are now part of SAP, a market leading enterprise application software company, helping companies of all sizes and industries run simple.
Fieldglass encourages an open door policy and a collaborative office environment. Team members across all departments can easily meet together in any of our open office layouts. Those with an entrepreneurial and can-do attitude keep Fieldglass at the top of its industry. Traditional perks include casual dress, generous paid time off, charitable activities, stocked kitchens, great healthcare coverage and more!

Emphasis of each of these skill sets will vary based on project circumstances.
Traditional Project Management
SAP Fieldglass employs a defined methodology that has been fine-tuned for our cloud-based solution, but we take pride in our ability to flex our methods to fit the needs of our customers and partners. Our Project Managers are empowered to make smart business decisions every day about how to balance what is best for SAP Fieldglass, our customers and our partners.
SAP Fieldglass Project Managers are primarily charged with setting expectations and influencing decisions and behaviors. This is done by combining disciplined use of the project managers' toolkit (e.g. scope documents, timeline, risk logs, etc.) with outstanding communication skills. When done well, customers, partners, and other project resources, know what to expect and when to expect it. If something unexpected occurs, they are setup to take the lead of the SAP Fieldglass Project Manager who can adjust plans to keep the project on track.
Best Practice Consultation
SAP Fieldglass is a market leader and valued for helping customers get more and more out of their contingent workforce and services procurement programs. Our project managers must embody that value by demonstrating a strong understanding of contingent workforce management and services procurement concepts. The best Project Managers can quickly identify their customers' business problems, and then access our vast support system and knowledge base to provide best practice consultation.
SAP Fieldglass projects are very collaborative. Project Managers play an important role in designing the solution that they are implementing. To do this well, Project Managers must possess a deep understanding of how the Fieldglass application can solve real world business problems. Other project resources typically lead these design sessions, but the Fieldglass Project Manager is expected to play an active role and step in to lead sessions as necessary.
