Here's an opportunity to contribute to a team that powers the "front door" of every Microsoft experience on every major platform. The Azure Identity team is searching for a program manager who can help us build the authentication system that enables signing up or signing into Windows, Office, Skype, Minecraft, Teams, PowerBI, Visual Studio. The Identity Division is at the heart of Microsoft's enterprise and consumer ecosystem. We process more than 10,000,000,000 transactions a day, providing authentication, authorization and protection for our users, 100s of teams across Microsoft and 10,000s of businesses across the globe.

In the mobile-first cloud-first world the sign in experience is the front door. It's where you start building closer customer relationships, supporting smoother commerce transactions and keeping people safe. But we've all experienced the frustration of signing in, remembering passwords, maintaining credentials for multiple accounts and getting prompted again and again with challenges to prove who we are. And we're all increasingly aware of the threats from hackers who want to compromise our credentials so they can steal, sabotage or disrupt. We need to deliver a better experience while keeping our customers safe! We are constantly questioning the fundamentals and pushing the boundaries of user identity, including advanced cryptography, password-less accounts and leveraging hardware security to protect our users.

The Cloud Authentication Engine PM team owns the platform that all of our peers build on top of. We spend our day designing, building and shipping features that constantly expand our capabilities. We own the protocols used by the rest of the Identity Division, our internal Microsoft partners and businesses & developers around the world. We also own the semantics of business and consumer identity, defining core concepts such how users, applications and devices authenticate, what control a user has over their data and how they interact with their colleagues, partners, family and friends.

Required Basic Qualifications:

* 2+ Program Management or Engineering experience including experience shipping high quality customer facing software
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or equivalent work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Demonstrated ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain.
* Passion for technology, software engineering, quality and customer solutions
* Excellent PM fundamentals: design savvy, data-driven, disciplined, deep and diverse customer empathy, passion for learning, can-do creativity, concise communications and PM persuasion skills
* Creativity and optimism grounded in practical engineering and business know-how
