Overview

Mellanox Technologies is looking for an experienced performance engineer to be a part of the Software Development group in Austin working on performance analysis and optimizations of Mellanox Intelligent NICs firmware and software stacks.

Responsibilities

The position would require closely working with the local R&D teams, remote performance group and close interaction with the customer. The Performance engineer is expected to help Mellanox to achieve best performance in existing and future products for different market shares (HPC, Cloud, NFV, Big Data, Security appliances). They will have full ownership on performance tasks, including design, debug and analysis, development, customer facing.

Qualifications

* 5+ years of experience in at least 3 of the following:
* Device drivers development
* HW/SW interfaces
* Performance debug and tuning
* TCP/IP stack
* RDMA
* Virtualization/Containers/SDN
* Work with Network testing equipment (such as Ixia)
* Embedded development
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to work both independently and part of a team (both local and remote)
* Good knowledge of x86/ARM/PPC architectures

Education: BSc or higher in EE/CS or similar field
