Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager of Hosted Systems the NOC Operator is responsible for the proactive monitoring of multiple applications and sets of servers and polling of customer data to ensure data integrity and that customer requirements are met, administration of new users and maintenance of existing users within the PAR SaaS offerings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Perform 24-hour network surveillance and alarm reporting utilizing compute, network and storage monitoring and surveillance software
* Document and analyze alarms, identify points of failure and see through to resolution any failures working with or escalating to the appropriate department if needed
* Utilize, manage and maintain network and performance monitoring tools to ensure application reliability (Kaseya, Nagios)
* Interface daily with our Help Desk technicians and Leads and assist with failed/missing poll reports of customer data.
* Collect, document, and analyzing customer trouble reports, to isolate and resolve customer facing outages
* Setup and configure new clients as well as perform change management on existing clients
* Participate in Internal QA testing of new SAAS releases and Windows Security Patches before deployment to live sites
* Work with PAR Technicians and PAR management to assist in the resolution of equipment or network level outages
* Provide and manage internal communication of Major Service Interruption (MSI) outages for all of PAR's network equipment and services
* Provide and manage internal communication of High Risk (HR) maintenance activity affecting PAR's equipment and services
* Facilitate escalation to Engineering as required for service specific network or equipment issues

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

* Associates degree in Computer Operations or related field with a minimum of 3 years operations experience in the following areas:
* PowerShell Scripting experience required
* Windows operating systems
* General knowledge of SQL queries and update statements
* General knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2008
* Data Center monitoring tools
* Knowledge of all PAR hardware, software products and peripherals
