Job Description

ParTech's R&D team is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Project Manager to join our hospitality Point of Sale software group. This is a new position in our San Diego, California office where the successful candidate will manage various projects and disciplines related to our engineering and product teams located in our San Diego and Toronto offices.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Managing many simultaneous projects and initiatives
* Creating, communicating and tracking project details, schedules and status
* Ensuring delivery and execution to identified schedules
* Management of the software team project management tool
* Being flexible and responsive in an ever-changing environment
* Collaborating with a diverse set of individuals and teams on a variety of initiatives
* Documenting most projects and work efforts
* Strong customer service skills as customers will both be internal and external

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

* 5+ years of project management, product management or engineering experiences
* Experience and understanding of software development and Agile methodologies
* Strong organizational skills that afford on-time project delivery with quality and within scope
* Cross functional team experience (engineering, product management, customer success, etc.)
* Requires little supervision and is highly self-motivate
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience
* PMP certified
* Professional services practice experience (solution, engagement or project management experience)
* Point of Sale industry experience - hospitality or retail
* Past restaurant work experience
