The Verizon Global Technology Solutions team is seeking a Junior Java Developer for the Systems of Engagement (SOE) platform to support all touch points: Digital, Telesales, and Care applications.

* Work with software development teams to gather requirements and ensure adherence to best practices.
* Build and create applications on Spring Reactive framework.
* Design, implement and support solutions for application development, security, analytics and performance management.
* Conform to existing industry and Verizon security coding standards adhering to Fortify scan and other security tool review requirements.
* Run test scripts against code to ensure quality delivery.
* Resolve code issues with urgency.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

* Bachelor's degree or one or more years of work experience.
* Knowledge of SDLC.

Even better if you have:

* A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
* Experience developing Java/J2ee web applications and Web Services.
* Knowledge in programming with ReactJS, iOS and Android.
* Knowledge of distributed systems development.
* Knowledge of writing queries on NoSQL databases like Elastic.
* Knowledge with Spring Reactive framework.
* Detail oriented abilities to ensure code meets user stories details.
* Excellent verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of current industry standards for secure web and mobile design.
* Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
