Job Description
Role Summary:Responsible for managing budget, owning & driving wing-to-wing execution of high visibility/high impact projects to deliver enterprise system integrations that will enable operational efficiencies key for customers and internal stakeholders. Partners with Digital technology, Business segments and functional stakeholders to define use cases, identify requirements, own execution and prioritization to deliver excellent quality, on budget and on time integrations.
Essential Responsibilities:
Makes sure rigorous project management practices are followed and improved as needed. Works across various functional pillars of the organization to achieve alignment of scope, gain buy in to ensure a high say/do ratio.
Own the master project plan and manage budget to deliver high quality enterprise system integrations.
Collaborate with Digital Technology, Business and functional partners to define use cases and align on scope that will deliver ROI for the business.
Collaborate on release schedules for various systems in scope to delivery functionality and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
Seamlessly collaborate with technology & functional stakeholders to ensure transparency and drive accountability.
Facilitate convergence of functional and technical knowledge to deliver successful outcomes
Work with globally located functional & technical teams often comprising of members of separate organizations to coordinate day-to-day execution as per outlined plan
Ensure defined project management processes and practices are followed. Drive simplification and improvement as necessary.
Support execution team with resolution of roadblocks and interdependencies. Partner with technical and functional teams external to the project to ensure their tasks are completed on time as required
Manage project risks, scope changes and other non-standard events throughout the life of the project
Effective communication to executive leadership, stakeholders and progress reporting
Ensure quality of deliverables is verified and matching stakeholder expectations through the lifecycle of the program
Track project outcomes realization and customer satisfaction levels through established metrics against service level. Ensure lessons learned are collected
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science, or Engineering
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience
PMP Certification or extensive complex IT Program Management experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Must be willing to travel 20% of the time
Desired Characteristics: Excellent Program & Budget Management skills and knowledge of IT program execution cycles and criterion.
Strong team player - collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
Experience working with others on a global basis.
Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong stakeholder relationships.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills -communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information / data to make decisions, anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve, creates actionable strategies and operational plans
Execution oriented - On time & on budget execution, confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways, balances multiple and competing priorities and executes accordingly
PMP or related Project Management certifications
