Project Franklin is a stealth-mode startup operating independently within Walmart's tech incubator, Store No 8. We are building technology in a fast-paced environment that has the potential to impact millions of lives.

We are a scrappy and entrepreneurial team with access to the resources of the world's largest retailer. We're building cutting edge technology from our lab in Greenpoint, NY and our journey has just begun.

Project Franklin's engineers are forward thinking and collaborative in nature. We are looking for team members with strong skills in their fields and an ability to turn on a dime to support the fast-paced nature of our business.

What You'll Do

* Work with our engineering team to design and support our cloud-based service infrastructure
* Manage our source control system
* Improve and maintain our CI/CD system
* Deploy test automation frameworks
* Monitor environments to identify inefficiencies in code and processes
* Learn and apply new technologies and frameworks
* Work with engineering team to develop secure communication between connected devices

Qualifications:

* BS Degree or equivalent professional experience
* 5+ years' experience designing, building, and supporting large scale systems
* Administrative experience with cloud server environments such as Azure or containerization tools such is Kubernetes
* Experience with configuration management tools such as vault and consul
* Experience with programming languages
* Experience monitoring and troubleshooting high availability services

Bonus qualifications:

* Experience with configuration management tools such as vault and consul
* Experience with containerization tools such as Terraform, Packer, Kubeadm, and Docker
* Experience with bash, Golang or javascript
* Experience with CI such as Drone-ci, Jenkins
* Extensive knowledge of software deployment, including blue-green and rolling
* Experience with database solutions, including relational and Big Data, Hadoop or Spark
