About Linquest

Job Description

LinQuest is seeking an experienced Configuration Management professional to work at our office El Segundo, CA. This position will support our MASIES contract which provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for the Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Directorate of the Space and Missile Systems Center in El Segundo.

The successful candidate should have experience in the Configuration Management (CM) field, and will apply CM processes for document control of technical requirements, statements of work (SOW), and associated Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system specifications. CM candidate will control and manage technical data from different sources, and organize program documentation. The successful candidate will have some of the experience listed below:

* Configuration Management Planning
* Configuration Identification
* Change Control Management
* Configuration Status Accounting
* Configuration Audits

Responsibilities:

* Participate in weekly Change Control Boards and assist with board package coordination
* Support Directorate level changes (assign number, log and track)
* Maintain status accounting information related to Board packages and tracking packages through enterprise and program level boards
* Maintain Technical baseline in two databases - TopVue and Livelink
* Support working group configuration control
* Support SOW and CDRL documentation generation
* Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as Request-For-Change (RFC), production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications
* Analyze proposed changes to the Technical Baseline to determine effect on overall product and system
* Establish change request and prepare for change authorization and documentation
* Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering

Requirements

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Skills:

* Thorough knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and CDRL development process
* Configuration Data Management Certification
* Information Technology (IT) / Database Management

Required Experience:

* 5+ years of configuration management experience
* Experience directly supporting DoD personnel on space programs
* US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance are required for the position

Preferred Experience:

* 7+ years of configuration management experience
* Experience with recommending and implementing military standards and CM best practices
* Hands on experience administering DoD Acquisition Management
* Experience with SATCOM systems, preferably MILSATCOM
* Knowledge on EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973 and MIL-HDBK-61
* Knowledge on DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015-2-STD
* Knowledge of hardware and software development life cycles and CDRL development process
