Job Description

LinQuest is seeking a Acquisition Specialist to join our team at our office in El Segundo, CA. The MILSATCOM Acquisition Specialist will support the MILSATCOM Acquisition, Systems Integration, and Engineering Services (MASIES) contract for the Space and Missiles Systems Center (SMC), MILSATCOM Systems Directorate in Los Angeles, CA. This person will provide acquisition management support to the MILSATCOM System Directorate's program offices.

The MILSATCOM Analysis, Systems Integration, and Engineering Services (MASIES) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force's Space and Missiles System Center. We acquire state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation's warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Responsibilities:

* Provides DoD acquisition planning for new MILSATCOM acquisition contracts
* Keeps up-to-date with latest development with DoD acquisition policy change
* Interfaces with and coordinates with Government program office personnel and other stakeholder
* Create detailed technical and programmatic acquisition plans to achieve successful DoD milestone decisions, forms team and executes the plan
* Prepare plans for developing Requests for Proposal, source selection decisions, and contract awards
* Develop acquisition documentation, such as; Statements of Work, Requests for Proposals, contract attachments, Source Selection Plans, and acquisition schedules to lead to successful contract awards
* Coordinates with government stakeholders and incorporates feedback

Requirements

Required Skills

* Ability to apply DoD policies to program plans
* Ability to work effectively with DoD customer
* Proficiency with MS Office applications

Required Experience:

* BS degree required
* 5 years DoD acquisition experience
* Demonstrated skills leading DoD acquisition programs through milestone decisions
* Demonstrated understanding of DoD acquisition policies and processes
* Current and active Secret clearance is required to be considered for this position

Preferred Experience:

* 2 years DoD space program acquisition experience, MILSATCOM experience preferred
* Current TS/SCI clearance
* Engineering degree or technical degree is desired
* Advanced degree is desired
* Systems engineering experience is desired
* DoD acquisition certifications are preferred
