Job Description

LinQuest is seeking an Agile Software Developer/Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The Agile Software Developer/Engineer will have development experience in Java, HTML, SQL/JQL, and Jira/Confluence to join our Space Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team supporting the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center. This role involves development, deployment, and training end users in agile methodologies. This role supports the Evolved Strategic SATCOM (ESS) program in defining and deploying new agile business processes and tailoring supporting software applications.

Responsibilities

* Champion agile business process initiatives using Jira/Confluence and other software tools.
* Work with stakeholders and engineers to implement agile processes
* Design and tailor software applications (e.g. Jira/Confluence) to support agile process requirements.
* Teach and train users on how to apply new agile process tools.

Requirements

* Proficient knowledge of agile software development


* Ability to solve problems and create solutions
* Data analysis & design utilizing COTS SW
* Proficiency in using Jira/Confluence tools
* Ability to code and develop Jira/Confluence tools
* Highly organized and creative individual, initiative, capable of handling competing priorities
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
* Fluent in Microsoft Office application suite (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
* US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance is required to be considered for this position

Preferred Skills:

* Understanding JavaScript/CSS/HTML and SQL
* Proficiency in coding and developing Jira/Confluence tools

Required Experience:

* B.S. degree in computer science, engineering or similar
* 3+ years of software experience
* Experience working an Agile project
* Experience training new users on new software solutions and developing training materials
* Business process/continuous improvement practices

Preferred Experience:

* Web application development
* SW Developer
* Data Analysts
* Webmaster
* Space Systems
* DoD systems acquisition or development
