Job Summary:

The overall purpose of this position is to develop and support cloud based infrastructure services, mostly with Amazon Web Services (AWS). The incumbent in this position is primarily responsible for design, development, installation, and management of cloud based systems and services through automation and adherence to best practices. Must also be able to support a Hybrid IT model. The role typically reports to a Manager and has no direct reports. This position works under supervision of manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

* Creates and manages cloud compute, storage, and other cloud services in system on AWS
* Creates automation for provisioning, decommissioning services, and security patching
* Understands and contributes solutions within existing hybrid IT architecture, along with identifying opportunities to reduce existing data center footprint through cloud based solutions
* Estimates AWS costs and implementing cost optimization mechanisms
* Proactively stays abreast of new AWS offerings and services
* Works with Infrastructure, Architecture, and Development teams to assure quality project delivery and ongoing support
* Understands and provides solutions with a hybrid IT approach, along with identifying opportunities to reduce existing data center footprint through cloud based solutions
* Maintains technical documentation for support and disaster recovery needs
* Meets or exceeds SLAs on resolving open help desk incidents or requests
