Barron's Group is seeking a full stack software developer to create tools, insets, and systems for our newsroom staff. Some of these tools you will own outright, and some you will work to support across our different CMS's and publishing systems. Our ideal candidate is comfortable problem-solving and excited to contribute to our capabilities across a suite of publications.

This person will work closely with our tech, product, and production teams to expand and improve a stable of storytelling tools. Candidates for this position are able communicate with stakeholders, understand the issue or need, scope out and develop a functional, flexible, and scalable solution, and see projects through to completion - including design, development, deployment, and support.

You are technical, creative, communicative, and care for the entire scope of a web stack. Functional, elegant interfaces excite you, as do clarity, specificity, and speed. We assume you like to think critically and communicate effectively. Ideal candidates for this job have 2 - 5 years building websites in a production environment.

Critical skills :

* Writing clear, functional, and maintainable code


* Writing syntactically proper, SEO-friendly front-end markup


* Quickly identifying the cause of and solution for bugs and issues


* Writing clear, concise Documentation


* Supporting users of tools where necessary


* Researching potential solutions to problems and making concrete, well-informed recommendations
