Overview

The Assimilation Manager, Americas will predominantly spend their time working at customer locations in the US on behalf of Electro Rent. Initially based in West Hills, CA, he or she will drive the desired changes to assimilate Electro Rent Asset Management services and tools into customer environments and routine use.

Electro Rent LEO software enables customers to manage their asset portfolio and gain value from the investment in it. The portfolio of manufacturer / model combinations tiered multi-site locations, rack / bench locations and parent / child relationships is captured during implementation and maintained by means of simple movement transactions at system and configuration levels. Asset utilization may be captured manually or directly from the test process. A range of dashboards and an interactive report functionality provide management views of the data supporting maintenance (repair / calibration), capacity planning and capital expenditure budgeting.

Research makes it clear that a successful software implementation does not automatically translate into the sustained use of the system by the organization, a critical component for realizing the anticipated benefits. To be successful, Electro Rent has identified the need for an assimilation consultant to be on site and engage with the installed user community daily. A successful LEO roll-out requires a cultural charge within the organization; the assimilation consultant's primary focus is driving the desired changes to assimilate the tools into customer environments and routine use.

Responsibilities

* Working as part of the Asset Management Delivery & Assimilation Team
* Carry out professional on-site inventory assessments and customer visits at sites through-out the US during both implementation and assimilation phases of a LEO deployment
* Represent Electro Rent and its values whilst on-site and when communicating with customers
* Coach user communities on the range of functionality available
* Identify areas for greater assimilation encouraging greater depth and breadth of use throughout the customer organization
* Mentor user communities on necessary business process change
* Ability to work with technical R&D staff and translate new software features into real world examples
* Develop a close working relationship with the local Electro Rent Account Manager in order to present a cohesive and consistent interface between

Ideal Candidate:

* Experience in implementing software in an R&D environment
* Experience as Senior Test Manager in Aerospace, High-Tech or Telecom industry
* Experience in justifying Capital Expenditure and Operational Expense needs to GM level - incorporating input from across a Product division considering design, validation, marketing, sales, production, apps and FW/SW development
* Familiarity with Asset Management concepts, ERP and/or Financial Solution software
* Proven capability of delivering IT training, coaching, and driving adoption
* Willingness to travel extensively
* Ability to work independently when required
* Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels within an organization
* Strong collaboration and team-building skills
* Solid analytical and technical skills with regard to software applications
* Strong follow-through skills coupled with a desire to continuously increase knowledge
* US citizen
* US Security Clearance
