Data Engineers are responsible for taking large amounts of data and transforming it into a format that’s simple to analyze. In order to complete this task, they must develop, maintain and test infrastructures. Data Engineers are also responsible for ensuring that systems meet industry practice standards and business requirements, integrating new software engineering tools and data management technologies into existing structures and creating analytics applications and custom software components.
