As a trusted customer advocate, the SA helps organizations adopt advanced cloud-based solutions and migrate existing on premise workloads to the cloud. SA's have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build mind share and broad use of AWS technologies for large, strategic customers.

The Solution Architect organization is building the workforce of the future with the most diverse and outstanding customer focused talent in roles for Solutions Architecture and Customer Solutions Manager. To complete that mission we are creating the team that will be designing and managing programs to recruit, train, transition, and continually develop talent including direct from University hires, Internships, Military Apprentices transitioning to commercial careers, supporting Diversity and Inclusion, and more. This position will be responsible for using the functional experience and understanding of solution architecture to impact the vision, design, execution, and measurement of programs created for transforming the America's Solution architecture organization into the workforce of the future. The role requires someone who gets excited about a variety of technical, project and operational duties, including: contributing to development of technical curriculum, defining and selecting architecture projects for intern programs, coaching and mentoring early in career technical talent, attending industry and university events for evangelism and recruiting efforts, contributing to the definition of technical career paths, enabling effective transition from dedicated learning to field execution. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to drive results in an ambiguous environment, with a high level of attention to detail. A successful candidate will be at the center of the team acting as a technical expert informing program design and will be part of the glue that helps our team operate efficiently, effectively and happily. You must have a passion for developing programs that will focus on talent recruitment and development.

The ideal candidate should possess a breadth of technical knowledge as well as depth in one or two areas of interest. A successful candidate will exhibit a firm grasp of technical fundamentals and the ability to learn complex new technologies quickly. A "builder" mentality that loves to tinker with technology is an asset. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated customer facing skills that will enable them to build strong advocates of AWS within the customer's environment. They should be comfortable driving discussions with a wide range of customer personnel from enterprise architects to developers regarding trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities include:

* Gather and define technical curriculum requirements for Early in career talent (University hires, interns), Talent in transition (Military veterans, people re-entering the workforce), and traditional industry hires.
* Evangelizing and recruiting for the Solution Architect role at Diversity and Inclusion events, University Programs, and other alternative sourcing channels
* Interface with multiple internal stakeholders across WW enablement and program delivery functions, SA business leader stakeholders, Amazon Diversity and Inclusion initiatives, and customers.
* Inform the design of prescriptive career path plans and objectives for solution architect development
