Job Description:

Duties: Work closely with the Front Office users and Technology vendors and develop end-to-end solutions to assist portfolio managers/Research Analysts on their day-to-day portfolio construction and research. Work closely with portfolio managers/research analysts to develop portfolio construction and fundamental research applications. Design and implement the next generation of portfolio construction and portfolio analytics visualization tool. Program applications using Java and J2EE technologies. Responsible for multi-tier application development and developing applications for both client and server side. Responsible for scripting using Microsoft batch commands or Unix shell. Work with following frameworks/technologies - REST/Axis for Web Services. Use Spring, MyBatis, Junit, JMock, and Maven as well as Relational DB- Sybase, Oracle or MS-SQL. Work on Object Oriented and component based software development using design patterns. Work on enhancements/changes as business demands change.

Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Minimum experience required: 5 years of application development experience in equity markets or related experience.

Skills Required: Must have experience with Java, J2EE Technologies and Microsoft .NET. Must have experience with Spring, Junit, Maven. Must have Web Services (SOAP/REST) experience. Must have Relational database development experience with MS SQL Server, Oracle, and Sybase. Must have Multithreading experience. Must have experience in Trading, Equity application development. Must have experience with batch commands or Unix shell. Must have Market Data Feeds experience. Must have Object Oriented and component based software development experience using design patterns. Must have Multi-tier application development experience and experience developing applications for both client and server side. Must have data modeling experience.
