The Amazon Robotics (AR) Operations organization manufactures high-quality robotics and gets the right materials to the right place at the right time to enable our automated solutions. It's a fast-paced operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and performance indicators. The Operations Technical Program Manager will be responsible for taking new products and technology into production. The role will own cross-functional communications, strategic planning for manufacturing from prototype to high volume, KPI development, and cost-reduction initiatives. In this position you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large projects end-to-end for manufacturing, supply chain and test; collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers; writing specifications; driving project schedules from design to full production. You will be expected to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams. As a NPI Technical Program Manager, you will provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Responsibilities

* Manage AR Operations NPI programs and strategic planning
* Manage major projects and initiatives within Operations (beyond NPI)
* Develop and manage integrated schedules and project plans.
* Work closely with commodity management and engineering teams to drive prototype and production material.
* Coordinate with design engineering to drive release of product design documents.
* Provide regular updates to senior leadership teams across multiple sites and functions.
* Coordinate the development of manufacturing tools, processes, and infrastructure.
* Facilitate successful internal and external alpha and beta testing
* Drive development of program specific quality plans across multiple teams.
* Write business and operational planning documents for the project teams.
* Identify and recommend programs across the AR Operations department on behalf of NPI programs.
