The AWS Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Enterprise Foundation team has a simple mandate - to make AWS the best and premier cloud for customers to run, optimize, and modernize their enterprise workloads on today and into the future! Each day we strive to enhance our technology and programs to help our customers achieve their goals, their objectives, and their vision. We are looking for an experienced Systems Development Engineer to help build new next-generation services that will simplify how our customers and partners configure, deploy, and manage their enterprise workloads on the AWS cloud. The ideal candidate will have strong distributed systems design and engineering experience, possess deep technical / working knowledge of enterprise applications like SAP, and a passion for AWS technology. You should be someone who enjoys working on solving problems, is customer-centric, and feels strongly not only about operations but also about running systems and software in the real world. You must enjoy a close-knit team environment of shared responsibility.

As a Systems Development Engineer working within EC2 Enterprise Foundation, you will:

* Work closely with various pre-release Amazon technologies and build services that simplify the configuration and provisioning of enterprise workloads on AWS.
* Help develop key product features, refine system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product, setting the groundwork for the next successful phase and beyond.
* Work closely with internal customers.
