Job Description

The Special Projects team is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead the build out and architect a new product from the ground up. We are looking for a talented Software Development Manager with a strong Backend technical background, customer obsession and solid people management skills to manage and develop a highly-talented and experienced engineering team. As we are a rapidly expanding small team, you will also be required to have solid hiring and new hire development skills. Strong judgment and communication skills, long term technical vision, and continuous focus on engineering and operational excellence are essential for the success in this role.

As an early team member, you will take responsibility for technical problem solving, creatively meeting product objectives, hiring engineering teams, and developing best practices. You will demonstrate cross-functional resource interaction to accomplish your goals. In addition, you will play a role in defining processes and methods to improve the productivity of the entire team. You will identify and initiate investigations of new technologies, prototype and test solutions for product features, and design and validate designs that deliver an exceptional user experience.
