About the position:

System Quality Assurance Engineer (REQ #3690) position available with Ooma, Inc. in San Mateo, California.

Responsibilities:

* Develop software test plans and test cases for security camera products.
* Apply networking and video streaming protocols, routing, network security, and WIFI/BT.
* Work in a Linux environment and perform Linux administration.
* Provide test solutions and work with cross-functional teams to properly validate the products and services offered to customers in a controlled lab environment.
* Execute the test cases per release content and schedule.
* Design and author customized test cases.
* Develop and document test strategies, test plans, and test cases.
* Track and manage bugs found during software test validation.
* Execute test plan and provide management status, risk and schedule to up-per management.
* Write and execute clear, organized, detailed test plans and test cases, including the designs of test script.
* Analyze test results and generate test reports.
* Report the bugs in bug tracking system and escalate the critical issues to the Development team.
* Provide innovative, workable solutions to a wide range of technical hardware and software testing problems.
* Understand and execute appropriate diligence, testing, review and communications related to all testing support and development activities.

* Prioritize, organize, and provide technical acumen during the testing of hardware and software.

Requirements:

* Position requires three (3) years of experience in job offered or as a QA Automation Engineer or Junior Testing Engineer.
* Professional experience must include:
* Embedded products;
* Wireless product testing;
* Writing and executing clear, organized, detailed test plans and test cases, including the designs of test scripts;
* Working in Linux environment and Linux administration; and
* Networking and video streaming protocols, routing, network security, and WIFI/BT.

Education:

* Position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
