Finance and Technology are critical to the success of Amazon's vision and rapid global expansion of its business. The core mission of Finance Technology is to enable the Finance organization and our partners by building scalable and reliable technology solutions that facilitate Amazon's growth. Finance Technology builds and supports applications for our internal partner organizations such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, Accounting, Treasury, and Global Corporate Procurement.

Responsibilities include:

* Develop an in-depth understanding of Amazon's products, business models, architecture and financial operations
* Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for completeness
* Facilitate the development of PRFAQ, user stories, epics and use cases to support the development of functional designs
* Work closely with development teams to ensure that all in scope business and technical requirements are incorporated into design and builds
* Have a strong track record of shaping strategy for internal and 3P technical products and services and applications
* Lead the coordination of release schedules
* Lead Agile sprint planning, resolving technical roadblocks faced by the team
* Work with teams to enable the design and development of scalable software
* Manage multiple complex and large programs simultaneously from initiation through delivery
* Drives day to day project team activities to meet project milestones
* Use strong program management, organizational and leadership skills to facilitate effective, collaborative project meetings
* Collect, analyze, integrate and maintain key cross functional deliverables (e.g. project plans, change management plans, migration schedules, etc.)
* Define and manage critical path activities and anticipate bottlenecks that may impede the completion of milestones
* Negotiate tradeoffs and drive solutions balancing business and technical constraints
* Facilitate project risk management activities including but not limited to identification, assessment and mitigation
* Complete progress reporting on predetermined timelines (e.g. WBR, MBR, QBR)
* Identify deviations from approved project plans and manage resolution including escalation through defined governance forums
* Manage resources in alignment with approved resource plans and program schedules
* Monitor project performance through approved project schedules and budgets in an effort to track actuals vs approved plans. Follow best practices to manage variances
* Ensure strong business case development for all project requests including calculation of return on investment (ROI), assessment of customer value or impact and criteria for measuring project success
* Provide leadership to cross functional teams by defining clear, achievable goals, clear barriers to program teams success and facilitate rapid decision making
* Works with both technical and functional teams to define and track requirements and ensures appropriate verification for delivered solutions
* Ensure consistent and efficient execution of all functions across Finance Technology by collaborating with internal business partners and stakeholders to drive adoption and implementation of global standards, processes and programs
* Collaborate with Technical Program Managers across Amazon to identify and implement agile and lean best practices
