Are you interested in being a senior engineer on a high performing software development team that is building solutions for the Alexa Skill developers?

We believe in creating voice-first experiences that deliver convenience to the lives of our customers and showcase the technical capabilities of the Alexa platform. This team is responsible for building solutions that enable Skill developers to provide these experiences.

As a Sr. Software Development Engineer, you will guide a team of engineers that are incredibly technical, agile, data driven, and highly collaborative. You will lead complex and ambiguous design and development of a range of products and services related to third party authentication, authorization, and accounting. You will directly influence services and features which will enable developers to create high engaging skills more efficiently.

Responsibilities

* Deliver technical strategy on ambiguous business problem
* Will influence software architecture extending other teams, investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
* Defines solutions that are extensible and scale with rapid growth of Alexa.
* Will work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules.
* Will establish architectural principles, select design patterns and then mentor team members on their appropriate application
* Leads projects to improve engineering, test, and operational excellence best practices on team. Creates closed-loop mechanisms to reduce churn on implementation.
