We are the Amazon ElastiCache team. We provide Redis, the number one in-memory database as a leading AWS Service. Redis is an open source project that has gained traction with developers and enterprises due to its rich programming model and scalability features. The ElastiCache team aspires to build the best Redis compatible cloud service on the planet. We work hard to listen to our customers and collaborate with the rest of the Redis community. Working on Amazon ElastiCache is a unique opportunity. In this role, you will discuss Linux multi-threading with engineers, massive multi-player games architecture with customers and work with an engaged open source developer community all in the space of one day.

As a Senior PM on the team you will be entrusted with several classes of activities. Understand the customer and translate their needs into practical and easy to use feature requests . Understand the business, the marketplace, future trends and financial levers. Help grow the business by collaborating on the product messaging and interacting with different stakeholders in the business development space. Partner with the engineering team by communicating customer requirements crisply. You will work with a deeply technical development team on real-time engineering problems and with large customers on making sure they are having their needs met.

Successful candidates will be able to straddle technology realities with very ambitious customer facing goals. They will be able to communicate really well verbally and in writing and potentially be comfortable presenting the product to customers. They will be life-long learners and will be excited about the potential of the cloud. They will also be true team players and cherish feedback and ideas from all the stakeholders they work with.
