Job Description

Role Summary:Sr. Performance Engineer will be part of our Edison AI platform team delivering core services and technologies that empower software teams across GE Healthcare to rapidly create and deliver artificial intelligence-enabled software solutions. You will be responsible for Performance Engineering for the platform. You will contribute to the team and work with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but works independently.

Essential Responsibilities: Modeling, analysis, and projections: You will identify new performance features and system performance starting from product definition phase through release. You will generate and correlate projections and scaling factors for appropriate workloads and identify optimal design points of a system.

Understand performance parameters and assess application performance

Analyze business requirements/NFRs and find and communicate requirement gaps

Contribute to test plan documents and write test procedures

Solid understanding of Performance Testing, Performance Engineering fundamentals.

Very fluent in Performance testing tools: Load Simulation (JMeter), Monitoring on the cloud (AWS CloudWatch), Collating metrics from agents (Elastic Beats) and visualization of metrics using ELK, Application Monitoring tools (AppDynamics)

Well versed in one programming language (Java preferred) and one scripting language (Python preferred).

Understand performance testing on AWS cloud.

Ability to develop scripts independently.

Ability to design different customer usage and load scenarios and execute them.

Expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting performance issues.

Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks assigned by the lead.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience

Eligibility:
