This role, which is part of the Structured Issuer senior management team, is responsible for the management and oversight of Program Management, which includes product development, quality assurance and client implementations/support.
Key responsibilities include:
* Working with business line management and product strategists to plan for and execute on the prioritized list of objectives for a cloud-based software platform in the structured finance space * Helping product strategists and business line management convert the major product themes coming out of the objectives into epics and user-stories which can be appropriately sized for execution * For each major release, ensuring there is a resource-loaded plan to deliver and test the applicable user-stories * Overseeing in sprint activity in conjunction with product, development and quality assurance managers * Managing existing customers and new implementations for the new cloud-based platform including support, bug fixes, and project success planning. Given the rapid and ongoing development of the cloud-based software, a critical portion of this responsibility includes moving resources from user-story execution to client project execution based on demand, project requirements and strategic items brought to the table by business line management and product strategists. * Having strategic and tactical discussions with clients that result in success-oriented paths forward * Strong knowledge of agile scrum development and testing methodologies is required in order to oversee the execution of best in class processes * A minimum of 15 years experience managing product and customer implementations of large scale, enterprise grade software platforms; preferably in the financial services space * 10+ years of direct people management where direct reports are performing product and customer rollouts/implementations * Demonstrable track record of successfully executing on the development of large scale software platforms * The ability to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to champion the resolution of product or project challenges * Strong communication skills * The ability to manage multiple streams of work through others; but also play a hands-on role when necessary * A track record that indicates a willingness and desire to hear multiple perspectives on an issue before coming to a final decision; while at the same time having the ability to make challenging decisions that sometimes have no "right" answer * Bachelors degree or equivalent
