JOB SUMMARY

Under broad direction and supervision, develops, maintains, and enhances cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines as well as designs and develops new features.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DevOps Engineer develops, maintains, enhances, and tests cloud infrastructure for applications in the Property Management Accounting.

Serves as the primary technical point of contact on dev ops engagements of moderate to high complexity and of high value to the organization.

Participates in the specification and design of building the infrastructure in the cloud and maintain the dev, uat and production environments for new applications and support the existing applications in the cloud.

Champion of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment CI/CD.

Create the pipelines for microservices using scripting or declarative methods to achieve pipeline as code based on TFS/Jenkins/Azure dev ops. Expertise with at least one pipeline skillset is mandatory.

Understand the CBRE standards for deploying applications to the cloud and ensure compliance with the cloud gates.

Work with Infrastructure teams, network teams, information security team to arrive at the deployment topology and adhere to security best practices.

Collaborate with dev teams and drive the best practices in source code configuration management, branching strategy and promote tagging, and releasing the correct versioned build to the production environment.

Involved with the investigation and resolution of complex dev ops issues in the production environment, disaster recovery.

Familiarity with Cloud Formation Templates and willingness to practice Infrastructure As Code on a daily basis to deploy and maintain the changes to the cloud.

Expertise in containers - Docker, AWS ECS, and container management technologies like AWS Fargate, Kubernetes.

Participates in the evaluation of new platforms, tools, and technologies in dev ops like proof of Concept on Container security using Twistlock with Infosec teams.

Minimum of AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and preferably at the AWS associate level with minimum of one year of cloud experience in a leading cloud platform like AWS/Azure.

Cloud Capacity planning, cloud cost effort estimation, and plan for scalability of applications in the cloud.

Willingness to learn the new skillsets needed to excel on the devops world and develop the expertise in the cloud with relevant certifications like AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Professional.

Under broad direction, designs and implements the assigned work related to dev ops.

Develops and maintains internal tools.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, code review, and/or training to coworkers. May supervise assignments of lower-level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as information systems, mathematics, or computer science or equivalent work experience. Requires technical and business knowledge in multiple disciplines/processes. Typically has 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Consideration given to equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

Below certifications are preferred but not mandatory.

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate, Professional

AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

CI/CD pipeline development experience is required; strong preference for AWS experience vs Azure for this specific team.

Experience with kafka and messaging systems is a big plus.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause moderate impact to department or damage to a client engagement.
