We are currently hiring a Software Engineer to join the Command and Control and Battlefield Radar (C2BFR) software team in Fullerton, California.
The C2BFR team's mission is to design and develop radar software including target detection, tracking, identification/classification and calibration/diagnostics. The Software Engineer will be a part of this elite team of engineers known for producing world-class Surveillance Radar products that protect our warfighters.
In addition to the overall support of the C2BFR team, the Software Engineer is responsible for supporting multiple programs and multiple platforms within a software product line. The Software Engineer will be expected to perform as an individual contributor working as part of a high-performing Integrated Product Team. Tasks include software design, software development, software debugging, integration and testing.
The Software Engineer must be willing to travel a couple weeks each quarter within the United States.
This position requires Active Secret Clearance or Interim. Except in rare circumstances, only US Citizens are eligible for a clearance.
Required Skills/Experience:
* 2+ years in software engineering or related technical disciplines
* Developing Java, C, and/or C++
* Ability to communicate well with co-located team members and team members in other geographical locations.
* Flexibility to travel 15% of the time
This position requires Active Secret Clearance or Interim.
Required Education (including Major):
Bachelors' degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
Desired Skills/Experience:
* Real-time embedded systems
* Radar domain
* Missile defense domain
* Linux Real-Time Operating System
* Developing software in a team based development environment, preferably Agile/SCRUM
* MATLAB/Simulink
* Test automation
* Advanced experience in developing with C++ using objected oriented design
* Software development experience in a Department of Defense environment
* Excellent communication, technical writing, oral presentation, and interpersonal skills
* Experience working with DevOps environment
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
