Job SummaryThe FICO Fraud banking team is looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join our software development team, designing, developing, and delivering Fraud Banking products. We are expanding our team, and are looking for technologists with a passion for high performance software development, and a drive to deliver software products that power the analytics revolution. Only US Citizens or Green Card holders will be considered. Job Description Responsibilities: Integrate as a productive member of a Scrum team, participating in poker planning, development, and acceptance meetings Contribute and enhance Fraud product codebase with new features and functionality Design and interact with backend RESTful APIs and webservice implementations Develop middle-tier persistence services which interact with relational and NoSQL databases Create and enhance automated testing to support our Continuous Integration processes and Continous deployment process Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science or related disciplines, or relevant software development experience. Familiarity and interest in Java, multithreading programming, RDBMS databases, and web applications stack Strong communicator with a team-oriented disposition Experience with Javascript, HTML5, CSS Exposure to basic SQL and RDBMS concepts Familiarity with Unix/Linux based Operating Systems and environments Understanding of Object Oriented Programming and common design patterns Strong analysis and testing skills with the ability to uncover and address edge conditions Preferred Experience: Apache HTTP Server MySQL, Oracle Couchbase Server, Elastic Search Unix Shell Scripting (Bash, KornShell) Rewards: High performance culture promoting recognition, rewards and professional development.
