The Lumberyard team aspires to help game developers create the highest quality games, engage massive communities of fans, and connect their games to the vast compute and storage of the cloud. We are looking for pioneers who can imagine and deliver world-class technology for tomorrow s most celebrated games. If you are excited about the opportunity to invent and build with the entire sandbox of Amazon's ecosystem, including AWS and Twitch, the Lumberyard field engineering team is seeking an experienced game engineer and wants to talk to you.
You will engage with both internal and external studios who use the Lumberyard and GameLift technologies as they develop the next generation of games. Your role will be one of collaboration & analysis (35%), creation (50%) and instruction & education (15%). Instead of being pigeon-holed into a certain feature or discipline, you will become an expert on all elements of the Lumberyard engine. You will bring into the role a generalist perspective and get to develop and leverage a broad range of game development skills.
As a development engineer on the team, you will lead the development of some of the most prominent and critical features used by our customers. You will meet gaming professionals in many disciplines from across the industry. Additionally, as the voice of our customer and their champion on the team, you will have a say in directing future development of the industry's newest premium game engine. We love customer feedback here at Amazon, and you will be the person with the most direct access to it.
