SUMMARY

Hulu's Customer Acquisition team is seeking a Software Developer who will be an exceptional addition to our technology team. You will help us build, improve, monitor, deploy, test, fix and optimize the user signup APIs for all of Hulu's platforms (web, iOS, Android and Living Room devices), partnership offerings like Spotify and Sprint as well as test those APIs with our web implementation. Our goal is to create a state of the art experience for our users who share a real passion for TV. The right person for this role has strong back-end service development experience, as well as an understanding about how APIs are consumed by clients. If you are someone who can design flexible, robust, extensible, clean APIs, then this is an excellent role for you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Obtain a deep understanding and write code that powers the cross-platform signup experience for millions of users
* Help drive the backend server architecture powering a configurable signup flow (and other features in the future)
* Collaborate with other teams to refactor our subscription management platform to future-proof the APIs

WHAT TO BRING

* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
* 3+ years experience developing back-end software
* Proficiency with Java
* Experience building, maintaining, and versioning APIs
* Strong knowledge of server-side application development
* Advocacy of software development best practices with the ability to jump into a project and contribute immediately
* The ability to communicate clearly with other tech teams as well as non-technical business stakeholders
* Deep understanding of design and architectural skills
* Mentoring skills to show other developers how to build for scalability
* A desire to ship good user experiences that will keep our quality bar high
* Strive for excellence and strong analytical skills

NICE-TO-HAVES

* Experience with Scrum and Agile processes and practices
* Knowledge of A/B testing approaches and frameworks
* Experience with Facebook's ReactJS and Redux
