SUMMARY

Hulu is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to join its quickly growing team. In this role, you are expected to work with various partners like Product, Operations and Engineering Teams to coordinate cross-team initiatives that deliver on Hulu's business goals and objectives. You are also the steward of health and effectiveness for the Content Management development teams. You ensure that critical information is shared while noise is kept to a minimum. You are fluent in the language of technology as well as product, and marketing. You will also need to move quickly; we use a Confluence, JIRA, and whatever agile tools the team discovers work best. Above all else, you are expected to navigate the inevitable change over the life of a project; lead with vision, plan with foresight, execute with precision, and handle change with grace.The Content Management Team builds tooling and solutions to enable an optimal television experience on a wide array of platforms serving tens of millions of users. We continue to evolve our content ingestion, curation, and distribution platform to store, transcode and serve the hundreds of thousands of new assets and metadata that constantly arrive from our partners, and billions of streams that we serve monthly. You will steward the work of teams that make all this possible. You will shepherd the development process for these teams, ensuring that it is both effective and tailored to the team's domain. You will also be a key partner to the functional managers of your team members, ensuring that they have visibility into team members' engagement and contribution to their groups.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Collaborate with multi-functional teams across Hulu to launch new products and features
* Lead multiple projects with shifting and contending priorities
* Own project timelines and drive deliverables to completion
* Identify, assess and mitigate risks, provide critical issue management, anticipate and make trade-offs stabilizing the business needs versus constraints
* Act as main communication liaison with disparate internal stakeholders and external partners
* Document and communicate platform updates and code releases
* Distill product requirements into actionable items for team members
* Successfully partner with engineers to resource plan and deftly release products
* Lead team Scrum ceremonies and provide Agile guidance
* Improve team Agile maturity and monitor overall team health
* Triage and solve issues in the content management space
* Work independently and manage time, with minimum guidance

WHAT TO BRING

* Bachelor's Degree in CS or a related technical field or equivalent relevant experience
* 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience in a related industry
* Experience in shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment
* Demonstrated deep knowledge of technical program management and software development methodologies
* Experience in communicating with users, operations, product and development teams to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization
* Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, object oriented development, build processes, change control and release management

NICE-TO-HAVES

* Experience with one or more content management systems, processing pipelines and workflows
* Experience with content media vendors such as Gracenote, EIDR etc and standards such as MDDF, SCTE 224 etc
