Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

DESCRIPTION:

Oracle database is the kernel product for all Oracle products. It provides data access and management with high availability and high performance. It has fully globalization support.Globalization Technology serves as a key player to work with Oracle Database development teams and base testing teams to deliver product's globalization support in a high quality and timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Review Function, Design specification and work out globalization Test Specification.
* Develop fully automated globalization test scripts
* Contribute to Infrastructure framework for globalization test enhancement
* Work with cross functional teams(Development, functional Test, WPTG, Release Management, support etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

* BS or above in computer science or equivalent
* Rich experience of Oracle database technology (Cloud, Tools, Core Features, OGG, DMU etc)
* Good UNIX system operation skill and experience on installing Oracle products.
* Excellent analytical skill and problem solving skills, ability to learn new technologies quickly.
* Excellent English communication skill, both written and verbal.
* Self motivated, capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
* C/C /Java/J2EE programming experience.
* Knowledge of standards: SQL, JDBC, JSON,XML,.NET,REST
* Excellent script language skill will be a plus (e.g. Perl, SHELL, python).
* Knowledge of languages (e.g. Chinese,Japanese, Korean, German, and French) .


* Solid knowledge of character set encoding, knowledge of Unicode standard.
* Solid knowledge of character set conversion with oracle database.
* Software localization knowledge, for example Date/time/currency format, collation and sorting etc.
