Job Description

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

Oracle's Systems organization develops software and integrated systems for Oracle Cloud and Enterprise customers.

Team:

We are a team of highly technical and talented engineers that come from diverse backgrounds. We are currently developing solutions for large scale deployments including hybrid cloud solutions to allow migration between on premise and the cloud. We have opportunities for learning kernel programming, file systems, storage, cloud technologies, storage management, fault management, REST APIs, Object APIs and user interfaces. Role:

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for the design and development of new features planned for each release. You will also have opportunities to lead projects and and teams.

Required Skills:

* Demonstrated proficiency in Software development lifecycle.
* Strong knowledge of C, Java, JavaScript and Python.
* Experienced with data structures and algorithms.
* Unix based operating systems and Kernel programming
* 5-10 years of professional experience as a software developer
* Knowledge of storage concepts, protocols, filesystems
* Experience with storage driver stack (iSCSI, Fibre Channel)

Desired Skills:

* Knowledge of high availability concepts
* Demonstrated leadership of small teams
* Knowledge of cloud architectures and hybrid storage concepts
* Familiar with NVMe storage and fabrics
