CarGurus is looking for skilled JavaScript Engineers who can help drive the efficiency with which we deliver and evolve our industry leading products. The Senior JavaScript Engineer has solid programming fundamentals and deep experience with JavaScript and modern browsers/devices. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to push a codebase forward in an incremental way.

What You'll Do:

* Help deliver high quality experiences that delight our users.
* Write performant JavaScript that works for a large range of client capabilities.
* Utilize appropriate frameworks to create highly maintainable code.
* Have a say in future direction of technologies and best practices.

Who You Are:

* 3+ years of experience; ideally in fast paced environments; we are pushing new code daily
* Rock-solid understanding of the core JavaScript language
* A fundamental understanding of data structures with the ability to classify the complexity of algorithms.
* Proficient at developing well-structured web applications using modern JavaScript tools like React and Redux.
* Familiarity with Node.js and its corresponding ecosystem.
* The ability to iterate and ship ideas quickly, with loose direction.
* Familiarity with Git or other control systems
* Willingness to work outside your comfort zones, to evaluate and work with new technologies
* Data-driven
