Job Description:

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the maintenance of installed infrastructure technologies as well as the installation and configuration of these technologies within specific area. Develops design and functional specifications, produces deliverables related to specific projects and assists in post implementation support and system enhancements.

Position Responsibilities:

* Provides timely resolution of complex problems or escalation to appropriate technical leaders
* Provides case status updates to IT infrastructure management
* Supports and maintains effective relationships with IT management
* Develops, documents, and implements standard operating procedures
* Ability to solve highly technical complex problems and be called on to consult for other projects
* Involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical infrastructure components
* Plays an integral role in more complex system integration testing and evaluation within specific technology area of responsibility
* Assists with the transfer of knowledge of technical skills
* Viewed as a Technical Subject Matter Expert within the organization
* May mentor and oversee the work of other infrastructure personnel
* Accountable for meeting own target which will impact the discipline
* Accountable for own targets which will typically be definable but not always financially measureable

Qualifications and Requirements:

* Requires 5 - 8 years Information Technology / position related experience
* In depth knowledge of technology infrastructure including Operating Systems, Data Communication, SAN and Disaster Recovery
* Working knowledge of:
* Cisco UCS
* NetApp
* Commvault


* Interprets and explains information to audiences who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion
* Adapts style to differing audiences
* Requires objective review of difficult work problems, obtaining cooperation or approval
* Requires considerable resourcefulness
* Requires strong multicultural awareness to appropriately deliver messages

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Required - Type: Information Technology, Computer Science or related field

* Discipline expert, typically with a number of years post qualification experience or equivalent business experience
