Job Description

At Amazon Web Services (AWS), security is our highest priority. As a Security Engineer, you will design automation and processes for detecting and responding to security incidents for a new, high-profile AWS service. In this role you will play a critical role in preventing attacks that impact large systems, company trust, and customer data. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

* analyzing data sets to perform risk assessments;
* developing tooling and security controls to mitigate risks;
* recommending and driving projects with customers, stakeholders, and peers;
* advocating on behalf of security goals and identifying opportunities to reduce security-debt; and
* defining and supporting incident response plans.

You will focus on projects with cross-functional impact - e.g. implementing kill switches, assessing forensic capabilities, designing countermeasures, security testing etc. You will work closely with product management and engineering stakeholders to identify risks and develop solutions.
