As an experienced Engineer working on the Oculus Mobile Core team you will be building the basis for all Oculus VR products. The Mobile Core team implements the Oculus mobile VR Runtime, an essential part of the Oculus VR platform which sits at the boundary between OS and applications, providing APIs and functionalities that are indispensable to highly performant VR.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Help deliver an exceptional virtual reality experience by improving performance and quality of our mobile runtime.



Design and implement next generation APIs and features in the Oculus mobile VR Runtime.

Optimize the experience across different application types and devices.

Increase adoption of the Oculus platform by building great software and tools for content creators.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* 7+ years of C and C++ programming experience.



Experience with OpenGL/OpenGL ES and Vulkan.

Knowledge of GPU architecture and rendering pipelines.

Experience optimizing rendering pipelines.

Experience designing, implementing, shipping and maintaining fundamental components of a software stack.

Leadership experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Android OS experience.



Virtual reality experience.

Experience with real-time interactive software development in 3D.

Experience with additional languages and hardware architectures.

An eagerness to learn.

A desire to work on a team of highly experienced professionals who are serious about shipping a stable, performant and innovative runtime.
