The Video Creator Monetization team contributes directly to the mission of Facebook by helping creators make videos sustainably on the platform and thereby creating community around their fans and viewers. The projects we deal with are technically complex projects which need significant cross-functional collaboration to enable monetization on the Facebook app which works for users, content creators as well as our advertisers. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering team to achieve our goals, helping engineering to grow their career, and driving product development and infrastructure engineering.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Be both a highly technical, hands-on coder and effective people manager



Communicate cross-functionally and drive engineering efforts

Hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

* 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management



5+ years coding experience in one of the following languages: C++, Java, and/or PHP

Experience recruiting and managing software engineering teams

BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years work experience)
