Job Description

* Chemical inventory creation and management
* Pipette maintenance and management
* Interface with Facilities for required lab equipment repairs
* Freezer inventory creation and management/inventory
* Routine communication with QWP and local platform heads to ensure platform lab
* Prepare samples for international shipments
* Purchasing - Use customers procurement system to place orders on behalf of in lab scientist
* Inventory Management - Responsible for stocking all routine consumables in lab. Assist end users with Lean incentive and comply to safety standards.
* Assist HSE with On site Safety Inspections of Safety Showers and eye wash stations.
* The tasks are to be carried out:


* in compliance with the rules of Hygiene, Safety, Environment and Safety (HSES)
* in accordance with Good Research Practice (GRP)

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

* 1-2 years of similar experience is required
* Must be able to read, write and speak English
* Must possess a High School Diploma
* Experience in laboratory setting or services preferred
* Must display a high level of confidentiality for both the customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific
* Must maintain Thermo Fisher Scientifics 4I Values

* Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to deal with various levels of personnel at the customer site.
* Must deliver excellent customer service to include maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
* Must possess the operating skills to learn to enter data in various systems as necessary.
* Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed.
* Must be able to use a computer and possess basic skills in Microsoft Office suite of software.
