Responsibilities

Candidate shall be knowledgeable in the various cluster infrastructure components. They will

Create and maintain clusters from current technologies, administer the OS (Red Hat Linux), and be familiar with security issues associated with the OS. Must understand the various high network high-speed architectures used to interconnect the cluster nodes.

Required Skills:

Candidate shall have a minimum of six (6) years of Linux system administration

experience, to include:

* Minimum of 2 yrs. experience managing and administering database systems
* Minimum of 1 yrs. experience managing and administering Hadoop; UNIX/LINUX shell

scripting; working with server hardware in a datacenter

* Extensive experience with Unix/Linux networking, including NFS, NIS, DNS;
* Familiarity with monitoring and configuration management tools including Nagios

and Puppet

* Knowledge and understanding of information security principles
* Written and verbal communication skills; Troubleshooting skills
* Demonstrating in-depth knowledge and experience with Red Hat Linux
* Ability to setup and configure technologies for automated scheduling and load

balancing of process requests - e.g., Moab

* Ability to configure compute and control nodes and be able to make these available

to the users on a TCP/IP based network architecture.

Candidate shall possess knowledge and experience in:

* Addressing security issues associated with a cluster environment.
* Technologies that centralize and ease management of each of the cluster nodes.
* Various high network high-speed architectures that are used to interconnect the

cluster nodes and be able to setup and configure them.

* Technologies that allow for automated scheduling and load balancing of processing

requests such as Moab.

* Configuring, computing and controlling nodes and be able to make these available

to users on a TCP /IP based network architecture

TS/SCI Clearance with Positive Customer Polygraph

Required Education (including Major):

BS degree in Computer Science or related field.

This position can be a Salary Grade E03 or E04 based upon the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position.
