Job Description

This position is ideal for an experienced open source database administrator that wants to support enterprise business and mission centric systems in an organization dedicated to law enforcement, security, and safety of our citizens with operations world wide. Work will include: support large and small enterprise legacy, development and new open source databases in on-prem, virtual, and cloud environments. Assist developers, data analysts and data scientists with access to enterprise data for development, integration, testing, and production databases. Tune systems for optimal performance. Manage clusters, replication, data recovery. Assist with data loading, purges, and data backups. Manage recovery of data backups and periodically test backup and disaster recovery. Assist with the transition of databases to the cloud. Prepare performance and utilization reports. Assist with the development and refinement of queries, and stored procedures. Work will be predominantly workday but may involve after hours maintenance and on-call response when systems are degraded. This is an IT professional position and you can expect to be treated as a professional team member.
