Are you excited to learn how to build and use cutting-edge data discovery platforms to answer important iRobot questions and improve the productivity of our data users? Then join our data solutions internship program as a Data Discovery Intern.

In this role you'll exercise your evolving data science and data engineering skills help us build the next generation of our data discovery platform. We are looking for someone with a demonstrable passion for data exploration and corresponding coursework in the field. You must come to the program with a strong working knowledge of a programming language, basic data structures, and a data visualization tool.

Essential Functions/ Job Duties

* Research assigned topics and present your findings to management
* Work directly with data requesters to understand requirements and develop prototype data models, data visualizations or data discovery solutions
* Build, test, and deliver working prototypes in a high-level programming language (Python or Java)
* Assist with platform configuration, monitoring, or enhancements
* Assist with ad-hoc activities to support the data solutions department at iRobot

Qualifications

* You are available to work on-site 40 hours a week in our Bedford Office
* You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work in a team environment
* Experience preparing and delivering presentations
* Growing understanding of programming and data analysis topics and technologies
